Scotch & Bonnet Music is the independent publishing and production arm of Scotch & Bonnet. We produce and release classical piano recordings with the same care, clarity, and timeless presentation that define our work.
Each project begins with the pianist's interpretive vision.
Scotch & Bonnet Music shapes the sound to match that intent,
bringing out the beauty, movement, and musicality in the playing.
What results is meant to be lived with, over years of listening.
Current Recording Project
Interpretations, Vol. 1: Bach
A debut recording of solo piano music, planned for release in early 2026. The program centers on two enduring works by Johann Sebastian Bach, the chorale from Cantata BWV 147, transcribed for piano, and the Toccata in E minor, BWV 914. Both recorded in a natural, resonant acoustic closer to a small hall than a dry studio.
Release details and listening links will be announced here first.
About the Artist: Sousarion
Sousarion is the recording name of the flagship pianist at Scotch & Bonnet Music. The pseudonym honors the ancient Athenian linked with the birth of Attic comedy and keeps attention on the work rather than the life behind it.
Sousarion’s work grows out of a life devoted to the piano. Each project begins with a simple question: how can this piece be made fully alive in sound?
Technique is taken seriously, but only as a servant of expression. Tempi, balance, and color are chosen to reveal the line that speaks, the harmony that glows, the movement inside the piece — even when that means bending inherited habits of tempo or tone.
The aim is to uncover beauty and timbre that usually remain hidden, and to let that energy travel unbroken from the keys to the listener’s ear.
Where to Listen

Studio & Sound
Scotch & Bonnet Music records with a sound that sits between the intimacy of a close listening perspective and the bloom of a small hall. The piano is voiced for presence without brittleness, and balanced so that inner lines and harmony can register without the sound ever turning thin.
The aim is simple: a resonant, living piano tone, close enough to feel the instrument, spacious enough for the music to sing.
